I can't believe what I've just done!

I've just taken a huge step! I finally went to see my GP and told her that I was gender dysphoric!!!! I've been having a number of problems recently and as she asked me questions somehow the words just came out. I almost gasped to myself as I heard myself say "I have gender dysphoria". There was a pause as I waited for her reaction, and then she said,"how can I help you, what would you like me to do?". I have always had such trepidation about this conversation but I guess that I have just been incredibly lucky in choosing the right person to tell. I would love to be able to tell you her name here so that everyone can know what a wonderful GP she is but that would be inappropriate, so instead I will tell her the next time I see her.

So the cat is out of the bag and now we will see what happens from here on, I know nothing happens quickly but maybe the road will be a little smoother from now on.
