They're really not helping!

I'm now on the waiting list for the gender identity clinic and as expected it is a two year wait to be first seen; I can only assume that it will be three years before any help will be given. I checked with my GP that there was no help available between now and then and that self prescribing hormones and arranging my own surgery(overseas/backstreet) was the only option available to me. She confirmed that that was the case but advised me against it. This is a horrible situation but at least I now know that I am on my own and that, just like lots of other people, I will have to buy hormones anyway I can.
So I went to buy hormones from the UK site I have bought them from before and all of a sudden I couldn't get past the checks they now put in place. It transpires that the UK regulators have introduced new rules to check identities and so I cannot use any of the UK pharmacies anymore. The only option now is to buy them from overseas cites in India, Turkey, South America, Russia and so on... So the health industry, driven by the government, has made things even worse!
I'm sitting here wondering what to do next...
